Georgetown Dental Implants

Dealing with missing teeth? Dental implants are a great alternative to dental bridges and dentures because they offer a permanent way to restore your smile. Not only do they improve your appearance and increase your self-confidence, but they are also comfortable and easy to take care of since they feel and function just like natural teeth.

Start-to-Finish Dental Implants

The full dental implant procedure is a two part process: placing the post (or implant) in the gums and then placing the natural-looking restoration on top. Horizon Dental Care offers start-to-finish dental implant services, so unlike some other dental practices, we are able to complete the entire process in our office. You won’t need to be referred out to complete your treatment and reclaim your smile!

Implant-Supported Dentures

Dental implants aren’t just used to replace one or more missing teeth. They can also help stabilize dentures for a comfortable fit! Regular dentures rest on top of the gums and are held in place with adhesives, while implant-supported dentures have special attachments that connect to implants. This works for both dentures in the upper and lower jaw, and in either case, you will still be able to take the dentures out to clean them overnight.

By using dental implants alongside your dentures, you’ll enjoy a much more stable fit that makes it easier for you to speak and chew. No more worrying about your denture slipping or falling out!

Am I a Candidate for Dental Implants?

While we will need to bring you in for an evaluation to determine whether or not you are an ideal candidate for dental implants, there are a few qualifications you can consider. You must have healthy gums, a good oral hygiene routine, and enough bone volume to place the implant. If you are pregnant, a heavy smoker, or have a chronic disease, such as uncontrolled diabetes, then you may not be deemed a good candidate.

We are happy to schedule a consultation with you so we can look over your medical and patient history and examine your mouth and teeth. If you do not qualify for dental implants, don’t worry. We can provide you with other suitable tooth replacement options.
