Svetlana Mikhol, R.D.H. is a graduate of dental hygiene program at Middlesex County College in 2009.
I was born in USSR, and I earned bachelor and master degree in chemistry in Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute in 1992. When I came to the United States in 1999, I decided to change my career, because I always wanted to be in a health care professional field.
I started to work as a Dental Assistant and realized that my true passion is to work with people and be able to help them to satisfy their needs in oral health, that is why I trained to be a Dental Hygienist.
As a dental hygienist, I play a vital role in preventive dental care. During your dental cleaning appointment, I remove plaque and tartar, examine for signs of oral disease, take dental X-rays, and apply preventive treatments such as fluoride when needed. I also believe patient education is essential. Teaching proper oral hygiene techniques helps prevent cavities and gum disease and empowers patients to take an active role in their oral health.
My professional philosophy is that every patient deserves the best care possible. I truly believe that a dental hygienist is not only a healthcare provider, but also an educator—promoting long-term oral health and overall dental wellness.
Schedule your appointment with Svetlana today and experience personalized preventive dental care designed to keep your smile healthy and beautiful.
