Meet Dr. McElfish
Dr. Charles S. McElfish was born and raised in Cumberland, MD, graduating from Fort Hill High School in 1973. He earned his BS degree in Chemistry from Frostburg State College in 1977.
Dr. McElfish graduated from The University of Maryland Dental School in 1983 and practiced in Cumberland for 4 years before opening his current practice in Short Gap, WV in 1987.
From 1984 to 2000, he was a part-time clinical instructor in the dental hygiene program at Allegany College of Maryland. From 1992 to 1996 he wrote a column on dental history for the Cumberland Times-News.
Dr. McElfish is committed to improving his dental knowledge and skills through continuing education. Utilizing his 30 years of experience, he attempts to bring a common sense approach to patient care.
In his spare time Dr. McElfish enjoys spending time with his wife Melissa, taking long walks with his dog Jack, playing drums, and tackling sculpting, drawing, and painting.
