Sedation Dentistry

Nitrous Oxide And Conscious Sedation for Tempe

Does the thought of going to the dentist make you feel nervous or anxious? Has gone to the dentist in the past caused you to worry and possibly avoid dental visits?

Being afraid to go to the dentist or fearing to have a dental procedure can be devastating to a person’s oral health because it can prevent you from getting the dental care you need when you need to get it. Dentistry has long acknowledged that dental anxiety is real, and we work our hardest to help our patients overcome dental anxiety so that we can help them continue to enjoy great oral health.

At OnCall Dental we offer sedation dentistry to our patients who need extra help to feel calm and relaxed while having dental procedures and we are DOCS certified. This can help patients who need multiple cosmetic or restorative procedures but have been unable to due to anxiety or fear.

We provide multiple different sedation dentistry options, including:

  • NITROUS OXIDE | Nitrous Oxide, (also known as laughing gas) remains the most popular sedation method used across the country. With nitrous oxide, you can feel relaxed and comfortable while visiting us at one of our offices.
  • CONSCIOUS SEDATION | Conscious sedation (also known as oral conscious sedation) is a great method to help you stay relaxed during a dental procedure. After taking a special sedation pill before your visit (usually about an hour before), you can feel calm and relaxed while you get the care you need.

Modern sedation dentistry methods are safer and more comfortable than ever before. Whichever sedation method you choose–nitrous oxide, conscious sedation, or IV sedation–we are confident that they can help you ease your nervousness and anxiety during your visit with us. If you have any questions about sedation dentistry, please contact us today! We are here for you at our location in Tempe!
