Dominique C. Lizzio, D.D.S.
Dr. Lizzio, her husband Nick, and their two children have resided in Garden City since 2004. Dr. Lizzio is an award-winning dentist who has been caring for the residents of Long Island for over 20 years. She graduated from SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1997 and holds a B.S. degree in Biology from St. John’s University. She completed her residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was also an attending dentist for many years.
Dr. Lizzio is highly proficient in the areas of cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. Her ability to make highly anxious patients feel comfortable and children look forward to their next check-up is just one of the reasons for her success. She has extensive experience providing treatment to adults suffering from severe dental anxiety that has caused them to avoid regular dental visits for years. Recognizing that oral and dental health can significantly influence overall health, Dr. Lizzio is dedicated to providing holistic alternatives to treatment whenever possible and has experience in treating patients with sleep disorders. Upon meeting her you will quickly see that her concern for her patients goes beyond their teeth.
Dr. Lizzio is able to provide the highest level of dental care while maintaining time-honored values for her patients. Having a particular interest in facial esthetics she is committed to providing her patients with the smile they have always wanted through cosmetic dentistry, porcelain veneers, and Invisalign.

Susie Ko, M.S., D.D.S.
Dr. Susie Ko and her husband Mike are newlyweds and reside in Brooklyn, where she was raised. Dr. Ko is a graduate of Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. She completed her General Practice Residency and a two-year implant fellowship program at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. Dr. Ko earned her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics at Columbia University and her Master of Science degree in Biology at New York University.
Dr. Ko is a general dentist who is enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to administering excellent dental care to her patients. She is detail-oriented and sensitive to patients’ dental needs and concerns. Dr. Ko’s goals are to give every patient a great smile and involve the patient in their own treatment and maintenance of this smile. She is also interested in dental outreach and has been involved in trips to underserved communities in Madagascar and Knoxville, TN to provide much-needed dental care. Due to her work in local and international outreaches, she was awarded the New York State Dental Foundation Student Recognition Award in 2016. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of Osseointegration.
Dr. Ko is excited to have joined Garden City Dental Group and looks forward to providing her patients with excellent care in rebuilding their smiles through both implant and restorative dentistry.

Lauren C. Cantwell, DDS
Dr. Lauren Cantwell was born and raised in Rockville Centre where she currently resides with her husband Dennis, daughter Madeline, and their two dogs. She graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2014 and has a degree in Biology from the College of the Holy Cross. Dr. Cantwell was Chief Resident at North Shore Hospital and earned her implant fellowship degree in 2017 where she became proficient in dental surgery and advanced prosthodontics.
Dr. Cantwell prides herself on making people feel comfortable in the dental chair. It is her goal to prove to patients that the dentist office does not have to be a place that people dread. Educating patients on their oral health and the possible systemic effects is a top priority for her, which allows patients to participate in their own treatment plans as well as maintenance at home.
Outside of the office, Dr. Cantwell enjoys playing golf, going to the beach, and spending time with her family. She is a member of the American Dental Association and Nassau County Dental Society.

John A. Cerrato, D.M.D.
Dr. Cerrato, his wife Mary Lou and his family reside in Garden City. He is a member of Nassau County Dental Society’s Board of Directors for more than a quarter of a century. One of the Society’s most important public services is its Peer Review process. Dr. Cerrato chaired the Society’s Peer Review Committee and served on the New York State Dental Association’s Peer Review Council for almost two decades. He served on NCDS’s Executive Board in the late ’80s and early ’90s and was elected Treasurer of the NCDS in 2004. In the past several years, he has served the NCDS as President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary, co-chaired the Society’s Budget, Finance & Audit Committee, and then President.
Following his 1969 graduation (BS Biology) from New York University, Dr. Cerrato had a career as a teacher as well as in the corporate world. He attended the Columbia School of General Studies where he graduated with honors. In 1980, Dr. Cerrato graduated second in his class from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine earning additional honors including induction into the Cryer Society (top 10 at the school) plus his election to a prestigious national dental honor society, OKU. Dr. Cerrato was inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Dentists in San Antonio, Texas in October 2008. He has been in private practice since completing his general practice residency at Booth Memorial Hospital in Queens.
Two days each week he enjoys giving back to his profession by teaching at the residency programs at North Shore Hospital, New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Jamaica Hospital.
