Jane – Appointment Coordinator
Jane has been with Advanced Family Dentistry since 2005. She is the smiling face that you first encounter when entering our office and is most likely the friendly voice on the other end of the line. Jane provides exceptional customer service (with a smile). She is dedicated to building relationships with patients and making them feel at ease. Jane specializes in scheduling appointments, explaining patients financial responsibility in conjunction with dental insurance and setting up payment arrangements.
In her free time, Jane enjoys cooking, and spending time with her family and her two dogs.
Karen joined AFD part-time in 2016 and transitioned to full-time in 2018. She has worked in the dental field for over 40 years with experience in periodontal and general dentistry. Karen's experience and knowledge is a wonderful benefit to our patients. She oversees benefit verification, claim processing, and insurance pre-treatment estimates, and ensures claims are processed in a timely manner.
In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time with her family especially her new granddaughter and relaxing on the beach.
Marlissa– Claims and Billing administrator
Marlissa joined AFD part-time in 2019 after almost 30 years of full-time floral design she was looking for a change. She has over 30 years of business and customer service experience which has been a tremendous asset to AFD. In addition to processing monthly billing, Marlissa also handles all dental insurance explanation of benefits, entering insurance payments and requests for additional information needed to get a claim paid; her determination, dedication, experience and knowledge is a wonderful asset to AFD and an enormous benefit to our patients.
Although you most likely will not see Marlissa in the office, rest assured she is behind the scene advocating for our patients on a daily basis.
In her "off" time, Marlissa continues her passion for floral design by working part-time at Flowers by Candle-lite in Denville NJ. She is a dedicated Miami Dolphin and NY Rangers fan. In her spare time she enjoys watching Nascar, spending time with family and friends.
