Dr Vanessa Brennan is excited to join our family here at Gulf Breeze Family Dentistry

I was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. I moved to Miami, Florida when I was two years old with my family.

In the last ten years, I worked in both public health and private practice dentistry.  I also taught dental students as faculty for both the University of Florida College of Dentistry and Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.

I settled in Pensacola three years ago with my family. We love everything Pensacola has to offer. We love the beach and outdoor water sports. In my free time, I am out on the beach with my two daughters or at one of the many local community events with my husband.

I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a dentist. I loved the artistry of it and as a violinist, the ability to work with my hands. I chose to study in Ft Lauderdale at Nova Southeastern University where I earned my BS in Biology in 2003 and Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2007. After graduation, I was selected for a one year General Practice Residency at Coler Goldwater Specialty Hospital. This program allowed me to provide comprehensive dental treatment to the long term residents of the hospital and afforded me the opportunity to train in hospitals and clinics all throughout New York City.

After graduating residency I enjoyed private practice in New York City. But after a few more years of the subway commuting, fast pace and cold weather I found myself growing more and more homesick for Florida. I remembered a friend telling me that the Emerald Coast was Florida’s best kept secret. So when a position to treat children opened with the Department of Health in Pensacola I was excited to make the move to the Panhandle. I instantly felt at home here with the kindness of the people I met and the strong values of the community.

I am very enthusiastic about dentistry and am committed to continuing education to bring the latest technology and techniques to my patients. I am honest and conservative and a strong proponent of preventative dentistry. I strive to always deliver very gentle care as evidenced by my love of pediatric dentistry. When I am not working, I am with my husband Rafael and our two sweet boys, Leo age 3 and Lukie age 1. Together we enjoy everything that this beautiful area as to offer, especially paddle boarding, fishing, the beach, biking and nature walks. I am so honored to be a part of this dynamic team here at Gulf Breeze Family Dentistry and I look forward to meeting you in person.
